The Royal Firm mattress starts with the 660 Luraflex innerspring. The Luraflex is firm rated yet it's supple at the surface. We use a special version of the spring unit so it flexes and follows the movement of the platform underneath. This firm mattress is upholstered with insulator fabric, layers of firm foam and the Belgian Damask cover is quilted to a firm grade of foam. In our subjective opinion, the Royal Firm top is an Extra Firm mattress. We do have another mattress available that is firmer. This mattress, like all our innerspring mattresses is available with optional edge supports.
