No expense was spared in the design of this super soft, yet supportive mattress and box spring set. A Luraflex 660 spring unit with 14.5 gauge steel coils provides the base for layers of soft, high density foam. Edge supports are installed along the border for a firmer seat edge. The most dependable type of rope handles provide for easy positioning of the mattress on the box spring. We install the good old rope handles that are attached to a metal bracket that goes through the springs--the kind that are tough to rip put. Most handles today are only attached to the border fabric and can tear off easily. Each foam layer is very high density yet with a very soft rating. The cover fabric is extra rich Belgian Damask quilted to billowy soft fiber fill and 1.5" high density super soft foam. The bed is built to retain a supple feel for many, many years to come.
The box spring is our 8.75 gauge model with wide wood slats. 8.75 gauge steel is very thick and is tough to wear out. It will give your mattress a more supple feel and help it last longer. They are attached to extra thick wood framing for durability that will last and last.
